“The unknown is where we come alive. Set ablaze your own trail.” Danielle Doby
Hello from Arizona! This is quite special- my first blog post for Navyflower Portraits. I’ve been terrified to start it…procrastinated forever. But here I am! I’ll look back at this in a few years and hopefully see my progress and growth in my writing, in the business, and in my photography.
Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive in my journey. My husband Wes and I started Navyflower Portraits (was first named DHerrera Photography) on 11/2016, and currently in the grand opening phase. We obtained our local business license with the City of Gilbert, and trademarked our logo with the State of Arizona, so we are official! I’ve been working my butt off these past 2 months. I’ve worked until 4 AM on many nights, drank bottomless coffee to stay awake editing, writing photography contracts, and setting up my website. I called Bluehost so many times, WordPress guy and I started a fling talking about FTPs, PHP, and Jetpacking! LOL just kidding! I had to be nice so I can get my website up and running. The blood, sweat, and tears is all worth it. I’m having me a little piece of that American dream. I’m going forward, fear and all. Breathing life into this little business of ours is something I can’t describe. I feel excited and scared at the same time. I feel proud. And I feel alive!
I have a lot of ideas dancing in my brain. This journal is like a little window into my head. I hope to share and inspire you through my photographic and business pursuit. I’m very excited to share my visions and all my quirks.
Thank you for checking out my first blog entry, and please check back frequently for more updates!
